Vascular Surgeon - 2 openings

 

Responsibilities:

Will be performing all vascular surgeries; especially catheterizations, stents, dialysis access etc.
Training will be provided on site for surgeons needing more experience in any area of vascular surgery.
Each surgeon will spend most of their time at the Indianapolis main site but will also spend some
time at two other sites (never more than 2 sites in a day).

 

Compensation:

$300,000- $350,000. Negotiable depending on experience and/or other compensation preferences (i.e. loan repayment, relocation, etc.).
2 Years till Full Partnership, then option to buy into the surgery center and increase earnings.

6-8 weeks vacation per year for first 2 years, and then 10 weeks vacation per year.

 

Work Environment:

The biggest win is an integrated entity for all cardio, vascular, and surgical. All the physicians have bought
into the network and are on the board, so you have a say in what happens. It’s a smaller group and they work
very well together; supportive. The newly hired surgeons can buy into the surgery center as an option after 2
years when you are a FULL partner.

Currently there are 4 Board Certified Vascular Surgeons. One will be retiring in 3-4 years and the new hire
surgeons will be his successors. Two of the other surgeons are in their mid 30’s and the one other is mid 50s.
It’s a fast paced and busy group. Of all vascular groups in Indy, they are the only one that has not slowed
down. All 4 members are passionate and truly enjoy vascular surgery. They do more work RVU’s than any
other vascular surgeons around…they do 14,000-18,000; so 350 to 500 cases per year.
 

They lead the way for innovation. 50 physicians including cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and vascular
surgeons.
