Supervising Pharmacist needed in hospital pharmacy in the NW valley of Phoenix.

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Pharmacy Services, with wide latitude for independent decision-making, practices within the limits of hospital policy, accepted standards, professional pharmacy practice and State and Federal Law. Application of management techniques in developing and implementing policy and procedures, assisting in the quality management of services provided by the Pharmacy per JCAHO standards, reviews/promotes staff development, enhances department efficiency and ensures understanding and compliance with new programs that is consistent with the hospital’s mission statement. In the absence of the Manager, is responsible for the management of the Department. This position provides a high level of quality service to patients of all ages found within the scope of services.

 

Requirements:

Requires licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Arizona. Requires a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy. A minimum of three years hospital experience of which one year was spent in supervisory-type activities preferred. Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English. Selected skills/credentials as defined by the department's scope of services.
